WHY WE GATHER FOR WORSHIP
It is our hope that our Sunday morning worship services encourage you in your walk with Christ and equip you to go and make disciples!
The Bible teaches that followers of Jesus should meet together often to celebrate God and His goodness, and for fellowship, growth, and personal accountability. Hebrews 10:25 (NLT) tells us: “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another.” We design our services to be uplifting, meaningful, scripture focused and enjoyable too!
WHAT WE DO IN WORSHIP
Prayer
Prayer is communicating with God: not only talking to but also listening and receiving from Him. At Six Points Church we believe in the life-changing power of prayer, and desire to be deeply connected with our Savior.
Music
Each worship time, on Sunday or in our monthly Gatherings, features a blend of modern worship songs and hymns. Singing is one way to praise and honor our God, and great songs also encourage and even teach God’s people. There will be songs you know, and maybe some you don’t, but we all praise the Lord together.
Giving
One of our core values at Six Points Church is to be a people who practice generous living. Each Sunday, during our services, we take time to pause and give back to God. The offering is used to fund our programs, support missionaries, and to allow us to keep serving as God has called us. If you are new with us, don’t feel pressured to give; this is the church’s way of partnering in the Lord’s work.
The Message
One of the most important aspects of our service is the sermon. We believe that God speaks to us through the reading, studying, and communication of His Word. Our pastors strive to be Biblically-centered in their teaching and connect the dots from God’s Word to our lives today. Feel free to take notes!
Response
At the end of each services, we offer the chance to respond to what the Lord is saying that day. This can be in the form of a song, a prayer, baptism, or communion. If you desire to be prayed for or want to become a follower of Jesus Christ, we always have people ready and willing to help you.
WORSHIP TEAM
You will find many people leading our worship times – prayer leaders, those discussing ministry opportunities, and, of course, our pastors. Two groups work together to make the Sunday morning worship service happen, our musicians and our sound & video Tech Team. Together, they are one unit, the Worship team. All these servants are trained and dedicated to leading our congregation in worship each week, so our worship of God may be excellent. After all, our God deserves our best!
