WHY WE GATHER FOR WORSHIP
We believe that the Bible teaches us that followers of Jesus should meet together often for the purposes of accountability, fellowship and growth. Hebrews 10:25 (NLT) tells us: “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another.” We design our services to be uplifting, meaningful, scripture focused and fun too!
It is our hope that our Sunday morning worship services encourage you in your walk with Christ and equip you to go and make disciples!
PARTS OF OUR SERVICES
Prayer
At the heart of our church is a desire to be deeply connected with our Savior. We believe in the life-changing power of prayer. We use prayer to communicate with God: not only talking, but also listening and receiving from Him.
Musical Worship
We love to sing! Songs help to teach and encourage us. We enjoy a blend of modern worship songs and hymns in our services.
Our band is comprised of piano, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocalists.
Giving
One of our core values at Six Points Church is that we would be a people who practice generous living. Each Sunday, during our services, we take time to pause and give back to God. If you are new with us, don’t feel pressured to give! The offering is used to fund our programs, support missionaries and to allow us to keep serving as God has called us.
Announcements
During our service, we pause for 3-4 minutes to communicate with our congregation with things going on in our church body. Our goal during this time is to highlight ways you can get involved in the life of our church and help us to achieve our mission.
The Message
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of our service is the sermon. We believe that God speaks to us through the reading, studying and communication of His Word. Our pastors strive to be Biblically centered in their teaching and connect the dots from God’s Word to our lives today. Feel free to take notes!
Response
At the end of each of our services, we want to give you a chance to respond to what the Lord is speaking to you that day. This can be in the form of a song, a prayer, or other worship element. If you desire to be prayed for or want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, we always have people ready and willing to help you!
WORSHIP TEAM
Two main teams work together to make the Sunday morning worship service happen. The two other teams at work are our Praise Team and our Tech Team. Together, they form one team, the Worship team. Our Praise Team is comprised of musicians and vocalists dedicated to leading our congregation in worship each week. We practice on Tuesday nights at the church in order that our worship of God may be excellent because our God deserves our best. Our tech team consists of volunteers who are trained in running our sound and media equipment.
