I want to take a minute and celebrate with you some of the wonderful things that God is and has been doing at Six Points Church. As the Pastor, I get an up close seat to see things that maybe not everyone sees and so I want to share with you so that you too can celebrate.
First, Easter was amazing! I hope you were able to join us in person or online. We had over 250 people in our worship service, over 50 kids in KidsQuest, 13 more teachers and nursery volunteers leading and hundreds of views online as well! Not only were a lot of people part of the service, but we saw an incredible impact! We were able to celebrate one baptism (yeah Jason!), and now have at least 4 people scheduled to be baptized on May 15 (with a few more potentially interested!). And at the end of our service we offered people a chance to take a step of faith and we had multiple people raise their hands. We will be working to follow up with them this week!!! Praise God! We also had a wonderful Holy Week! I love our Palm Sunday tradition of having our children wave the palm branches and shout Hosanna! Our Holy Thursday service was a powerful night of praise & communion. And our Easter Egg hunt brought hundreds of local people to our church property for a day of fun and faith (we always share the good news of Jesus here at Six Points). All of this was made possible by a terrific team of volunteers made up of adults and some awesome teenagers! Finally, I want to brag on a few people who did a lot of work behind the scenes this week. I am not going to name names, because they didn't do it for the glory of men; but several of our leaders went WAY above and beyond over the last few weeks to make our church and property look its best in preparation for Easter and Holy Week. These men and women took it upon themselves to look for things that could be done and do them. They love their church and were willing to work hard for the Lord so that others might know Jesus. I am grateful for their attitude of selflessness. This servant leadership is the type that Jesus modeled for us and seeing it in our church this week was a beautiful blessing to me. God is on the move at Six Points in both big and small ways. I am excited to be part of a church where God's word is loved, His example is followed and His people love one another. In such a place anything is possible. Let's celebrate together, not just on Easter, but often the good things that God has done and is doing among us! In Christ, Pastor Scott
